Barcelona Districts

My favourite areas to look for a room/apartment right now:
1. Exiample (both)... city center
2. Borne... cool and hip
3. Poble Sec...fiesta, fiesta
4. Gracia... parks & views
5. Barceloneta...beach!!

My dear readers in Barca! I'd love to hear where you live, and which area would you recommend/not recommend from the above?

Hi there!
I've lived in Gracia and Eixample and I like both neighbourhoods. Eixample is very well located. Gracia, prons: cultural atmosphere, there's a jazz concert, castellers or some other interesting thing in public spaces every week (usually, on Saturdays or Sundays). Cons: some streets are really noisy and some dog owners are dirty, which means some streets are dirty on a daily basis.

I hope you enjoy your stay! ¡Hasta luego!

For the beach, I'd recommend Poble Nou over Barceloneta - bigger flats, beaches and streets!

Go Borne or Gotico and if you're sharing get a place with a terrace and we'll come and visit! If we find a place you can have our wee 2 bed flat with a terrace for the bargain price of 750! Good Luck!

I live 5 minutes from Sagrada Familia, in front of Hospital Sant Pau, both masterpieces of modernism.. quiet area, plenty of shops, and nice restaurants..
